Peter the Rock
During the pandemic, I found solace and inspiration in a Zoom Bible study. It was here that I became captivated by the idea of how God uses imperfect individuals to fulfill divine plans. This fascination drew me to the character of the apostle Peter, a quintessential example of an imperfect man chosen to carry out remarkable deeds.
Peter the Rock is my portrayal of this profound biblical figure. Through this character, I seek to present a relatable narrative of an ordinary man tasked with extraordinary responsibilities. The apostle Peter's journey, fraught with failures and redemption, resonates deeply with many, making him a figure of universal appeal and inspiration. My performance aims to bring Peter's story to life, showcasing the timeless message of grace and redemption.
A Brief Biography
My passion for the performing arts began early, leading me to pursue a degree in Speech and Theater. Upon graduating from college, I embarked on a vibrant career in the theater world, initially working with Muncie Civic Theaters. My journey then took me to the IUPUI College Theater Department in Indianapolis, IN, where I honed my skills over a decade. During this time, I not only acted but also directed and designed sets and lighting for numerous productions, including notable works like Jesus Christ Superstar, Camelot, Three Musketeers, and Wait Until Dark.
After a fulfilling decade in the theater, I transitioned into the world of sales, where I built a new career. Upon retiring, my passion for theater called me back, leading me to perform in a Mark Twain show. However, the onset of the pandemic brought in-person performances to a halt.
